I thought I would share this lakeside engagement session today, because these two are walking down the aisle tomorrow! I had a great time with Rachel and Ryan, hanging out in this beautiful park beside Lake Ontario. They brought along their two pups for a couple of photos, and we ended our evening barefoot in the sand. I’m so excited for their winery wedding tomorrow!

I’ve waited so patiently to share this beautiful Charleston bridal session, and now I finally can because it’s featured over on Reverie Gallery!
I was in Charleston for a gathering of TuesdaysTogether leaders (read more about my involvement with that here!) and a group of us came together from all over to collaborate on this shoot while we were all in town (From Toronto to Portland, Charleston to Oxford, Mississippi!)
Emily from Confête Events planned and styled the whole affair beautifully. In her area in Mississippi, almost all of her weddings are cocktail style without a sit-down dinner, so she finds herself often designing cute sweetheart tables for the bride and groom, instead of larger, sit-down reception style tablescapes- so that’s what we decided to focus on for this shoot! Joni from Mint and Mirth (custom cocktails for events!) created some beautiful drinks to go along with the cocktail theme and incorporated some great punches of color. Hattitude Jewels brought along some amazing upcycled vintage jewels to finish the look!

Jenna and Eric’s Cambium Farms wedding on Canada Day was a day that was near and dear to my heart- I have known these two for quite a few years now, and was so happy to be the one they chose to document their stunning day. I have to start off by giving Jenna some huge props- this girl taught herself how to do beautiful calligraphy and signage, and then successfully tackled taking care of her own name cards, welcome signs, reserved seat signs, etc etc! There were so many special details that were thought of, so it was so fun to capture them all. They even had personalized beer cans as a take home gift (with our engagement photos on them!) I’m just sad I forgot to grab one as a souvenir!
Jenna and Eric had an intimate First Look, and it worked out to be incredibly useful for our timeline. The weather on Canada Day was not exactly ideal (although I’m sure you can’t tell in the photos!) We battled off and on rain, plus some incredibly high winds, so when the sky grew dark just minutes from the ceremony start time, we knew we’d be totally fine to wait a few minutes until it cleared so we could have the outdoor ceremony they’d dreamed of, without having to worry about portrait time being delayed afterwards! Jenna and Eric then got to enjoy their entire cocktail hour with their guests! After dinner in the barn, the party really got started in the tent and I felt like I had to include some of these hilarious dance floor shots!

Christine and Dean pulled together the most incredible tent wedding on Dean’s Dad’s farm in Guelph, Ontario. Rustic hand tied florals, garlands on harvest tables, a ceremony on the lawn under some beautiful trees, I could go on! But more importantly- they surrounded themselves with their nearest and dearest (and a bridal party that was ready to party!) and had a beautiful day to kickstart their marriage. Their cute as heck chocolate lab pup walked with Dean down the aisle, and the sweetest post-ceremony moment I’ve ever witnessed happened as soon as Christine and Dean were on their own for the first time as husband and wife (scroll down to see what I’m talking about!)
I love days like this- blistering heat, cold beers and lots and lots of love and laughter.

I love doing a First Look with the bride’s side! It gives us a few quiet moments while the bride gets ready, and then their reaction to seeing her all ready and dressed for the first time is so worth it!

Elizabeth and John’s distillery district wedding on Friday was practically a fairytale- seeing their vision come to life was so special. Every little detail was thought of, surprises here and there for family and guests, and of course, a perfectly matched bride and groom to celebrate!
After Lizz’s brother surprised everyone by officiating their ceremony, we had the chance to stroll around the historic cobblestone streets in the distillery district to take some bride and groom portraits and pop an engraved lock onto the infamous ‘love grid’ in one of the alleys.

Katelyn and Philip’s Hamilton wedding last weekend was a pleasure to witness- everyone agreed in their speeches that their love is so pure, so true and meant to be, that you just can’t help but smile and know that on May 21st, they made the best choice ever!
Even though Katelyn initially spent their first date thinking Phil’s name was actually Stan, they got over the misunderstanding, laughed it off, and have been side by side ever since. Their love bloomed ‘across the pond’ and they have since made the move back to Canada, where Philip can now enjoy all of the Tim Horton’s we have to offer.

This weekend’s Honsberger Estate wedding was one for the books! Allie and Jon had the biggest smiles on their faces all day long and for good reason. Just over 100 of their closest friends and family travelled from all over to gather on the beautiful Honsberger Estate property to watch them say ‘I do’ underneath an incredible floral arch created by Lush Florals. We were incredibly lucky with the weather- the rain held off and we managed to create some beautiful portraits among the blossoming trees on the lawns. A cheeky kissing game that involved tequila got the party started and a donut tower and late night pizza kept everyone fuelled for the dance floor!

Jessica and Paul’s elegant Hazelton Manor wedding was one for the books! Soft, pretty blush details with accents of silver helped this spring wedding come to life. Jessica’s Ferre Sposa gown was a showstopper- I had that girl twirling and turning all day in it! Scroll down to see my favourite ever black and white bridal portrait, with Jess twirling in front of a big window at the Hazelton Manor. I’m a huge fan of navy suits, especially when paired with a soft pink, so Paul didn’t look to shabby either!
These guys knew how to throw down and invited all their cousins and bridal party up for a surprise dance party right after their first dance.

Teaming up with my favourite group of wedding pros in this Napa Valley Chic wedding inspired photoshoot was a little dream come true! It’s featured over on 100 Layer Cake today, so hop on over there and give it some love! Everytime I work with the White Book Wedding Co, I am blown away by how seamlessly everything comes together (and I know it’s all due to the incredible amount of behind the scenes work that I never see!) The metallic geometric aisle runner and pops of unexpected colour were my favourite parts of this shoot!

Inspired by the light, airy barns and chic boho style of California wine country, The White Book Wedding Co. brings to life Napa Valley Chic style in this stunning new venue in Ontario, Canada, called Rainbow Valley Wedding Barn. Perfectly worn all white walls create the perfect setting for this greenery draped tipi and custom white and rose gold benches. Finished with Pantone’s soft blue pillows and rose gold geometric runner, this ceremony screams cool girl chic. The chic style of this coral, blue and ivory shoot was perfectly captured by Jenn Kavanagh Photography. Perfect rose gold beauty and boho hair created for our too cool couple, Ainsley and Tim by Dawna Boot Makeup and Ladylyn.
Vintage bohemian furniture by Warehouse 84 created the perfect barn lounge and table for our California couple. Custom white heart benches created by Stirling Carpentry added a chic, unique seating plan for our tipi ceremony and perfect Napa table.
Bright coral florals and strands of elegant greenery designed and created by The White Book perfectly complimented the wild, colourful bouquet and boutonnieres for Ainsley and her beau Tim.
Our stunning bride Ainsley, rocks the perfectly elegant Hayley Paige “Mona” gown and changes for her reception into the deep V stunner by Tara Keely, all provided by Pearl Bridal House. Gorgeous hair pieces by Blair Nadeau Millinery perfectly compliment the long boho hair on our beautiful Ainsley. Nothing is complete without a stunning ivory and gold geometric manicure to accent her sparkling ring. To match his gorgeous bride, Tim looks oh-so daring in his dark navy slim fit suit by Top Man Canada.
To complete the rose gold and blue place setting created by The White Book using Kate Spade cutlery, custom plating and crystal stemware from Warehouse 84, Hattitude Jewellery added the perfect touch of romance and chic with custom gold chain bracelets that perfectly matched our favour jewellery display.
In addition to our sparkling treats for these California wedding guests, Crumb and Berry created the perfect groupings of decadent sweets designed with a geometric influence, in corals, soft hues of blue and the perfect rose gold. Styled with pieces from Warehouse 84 to make all the delicious details look completely scrumptious.
Gorgeous menus, place cards and invites were magically created by Ferris Wheel Press to accentuate the bright, airy colour palette.

I always learn so much about couples during their parents’ and bridal party speeches, and this wedding was no different! After an emotional first look at the Royal Botanical Gardens, we headed back to Atlantis Pavillions for a beautiful ceremony at sunset. During the speeches at dinner, Christina and Randy’s guests heard all about Randy and how dedicated he is to his family, and all the sacrifices he makes for them. Christina looked on with love in her eyes and I couldn’t help but think how great a pair they are. Christina isn’t the only lucky one though- Randy certainly hit the jackpot as well! Christina has such a quiet confidence in her and she also has so much love for those around her- the time she spent with her parents while she was getting ready, the notes she wrote to them to bring tears to their eyes, and the way her bridesmaids all fawned over her was very telling. These two are surrounded by a great net of supportive and loving family and friends, it’s no wonder they turned out to be some of the two sweetest and most endearing couples I have worked with!
